Description

The MX8K42HAE-P is a 4×2 HDMI 2.1 matrix switcher designed to route any of four HDMI sources independently to two displays at the same time. It is ideal for installations that need flexible source routing combined with support for the latest 8K and high-frame-rate 4K formats.

Supports up to 8K@60Hz 4:2:0, 8K@30Hz 4:4:4 and 4K@120Hz, with HDMI 2.1, HDCP 2.3, VRR, ALLM and DSC 1.2a pass-through for premium home cinema, gaming and professional AV applications.

OUT2 passes the full 8K signal unchanged, while OUT1 includes a built-in downscaler that allows 8K sources to be shown on 4K or 1080p displays without manual source reconfiguration. This makes the unit especially useful in mixed-resolution systems.

The rear-panel S/PDIF output extracts audio from either OUT1 or OUT2 for connection to an AV receiver, amplifier or soundbar. Full lossless audio continues over HDMI, while the S/PDIF output supports PCM 2CH, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS 5.1.

Control options include front-panel buttons, IR remote, RS-232 and CEC, making integration straightforward in AV cabinets, meeting spaces, showrooms and entertainment systems.
