Description

This Audio Extender can transmit either HDMI eARC or S/PDIF audio signals over a distance of up to 100m over a single CAT5e/6/7 cable. This enables the transfer of audio from installed smart TV apps (eg Netflix, iPlayer, Prime Video) back to an AVR, amplifier or other multi room audio system located away from the TV.

It supports CEC pass-through between the HDMI eARC input port on the transmitter (TX) and the eARC output port on the receiver (RX) to allow the digital handshake for eARC transmission. For TVs without an HDMI eARC function, the extender provides an independent S/PDIF audio pass-through channel to transmit digital optical audio from the S/PDIF IN port of the TX to the S/PDIF OUT port of the RX.
