• Use this HDMI extender to send full 4K 60Hz HDMI signals to your TV and to carry ARC audio back from the TV to your Sonos amp or other sound system – all on one CAT6/7 cable. This means that you can connect the audio from apps installed on a smart TV to your home sound system even if that is located up to 70m away from the TV.
• Return audio from the TV can be taken from either the HDMI ARC port or Optical port (also known as Toslink or S/PDIF port) – just set the switch on the receiver (RX) according to your requirement.
• The TV audio will be available to the sound system through the Optical port of the transmitter (TX). If the “HDMI In” on the TX is connected to an ARC capable device, then return audio will also be available to that device through the HDMI port on the TX.
• The system supports bi-directional Infra-Red pass back which allows you to use your IR remote control to manage the TV source and/or amplifier from in front of the remote display. It also supports bi-directional RS232 transmission which is useful for automation projects.
• Power over Cable (PoC) capability makes installation easy as the single PSU can be connected at either the RX or TX end – wherever power is most conveniently available.
