Description

This 1080p HDMI over IP extender is ideal for those who want to (or have to) use their existing data network – instead of dedicated point to point cabling – to distribute HD video. These can be used on a point to point Cat5e/6/7 network cable but there are cheaper solutions to do that. The advantage of this system is that you can install the TX and RX units as devices on your existing home/office network along with PC’s and other devices. They will find each other and start relaying HD video and Infra Red commands. Regular HDMI extenders will not work through routers and switches that manage a TCP/IP network but these devices will have no problem.

The quality of the picture is excellent and there is no noticeable latency at the remote receiver end compared to the live input source. The system is supplied with Infra Red blaster and receiver cables that enable you to control the TV source (eg Sky HD or Virgin TV box) from in front of the remote TV(s).

You can connect multiple receivers to one TX on the same network. Depending how many other devices are on the same subnet you can have up to 253 receivers connected – perfect for large numbers of displays up to 150m away from the TX. An HDMI Loop Out on the TX acts as a splitter for the input signal and allows connection of a local display.

NOTE : THIS SYSTEM IS UNLIKELY TO WORK OVER WIFI NETWORKS OR POWERLINE NETWORK EXTENDERS – STICK TO ETHERNET CABLE!
